operations assessment is accomplished through data review and on-site visits. On-site work

as required to enhance patient flow and efficiency. Appointment systems, telephone access,
registration, check-in, managed care eligibility, the clinical encounter and check-out

Implementing Your ED Operations Process ImprovementPerformed as a follow-up to the
ED operations assessment, ED operations implementation services are provided over a 12-month
time period. Issues addressed include throughput times, call issues, discharge planning, EMS
interface, department staffing and inpatient admissions processes.
